before we die
katze und krieg invite twenty people in a local bus. While the bus is driving through the pedestrian zone katze und krieg leave the bus to fulfill their wishes. All spoken words between the performers and the passers-by are transmitted via funk into the bus to the audience. Every single show is different, as the wishes of the two performers change with the time.
The drummer Mario Salewski and the guitarist Timo Hagenroth are producing live the soundtrack for the performance.
The performance was shown 2010 at the Lokal Spezial of the festival Theaterformen Braunschweig and in Erlangen, at the Festival “ARENA…der jungen Künste”, where the Performance won the audience award. 2011 the performance was shown at the stromerein - Performance - Festival in Zürich, Switzerland and at the C.A.T. - Creative - Artistic - Theater - Festival in Bat Yam, Isreal.
The project is supported by the Stiftung Braunschweigischer Kulturbesitz and developed in cooperation with the BSVAG and the Festival “ARENA…der jungen Künste”.
